High on Life!
This year’s festival called High on Life will explode onto the Bellingen showgrounds, 14th of April 2012 from 11am – 11pm. The crew is currently working on producing an event that expresses our rich community’s creativity and aims to have everyone “high on life”. The most promising home-grown bands, dancers and performers will be showcased accompanied by awesome artworks that will focus on co-creation and upcycling. There will be plenty of opportunities for festival guests to get involved and take part in creating the high on the day. Bring a High on Life flyer or show up in a fancy dress costume that expresses your interpretation of the theme and receive a ticket at the door to be in the draw for a (sur)prize. To tickle your fancies further there will be a great selection of local markets, food and alcohol free drinks.
Want to be a part of it? Check out the Talent Quests going on in Bowraville, Urunga, Coffs Harbour and Dorrigo. Cash prizes at each location and a chance to be in the High On Life lineup!
If you are interested in event production Local M.A.D.E also offers a variety of opportunities to volunteer and gain experience as well as a number of workshops in production, music, dance and art held by prominent names in the business.

Rise Up From the Underground to Be Part of High on Life!
Local M.A.D.E is at it again asking the local community to RISE UP! And get involved. Planning an extravagant event with a new blend of genres, they are on the lookout for talent to perform both on and behind the scenes at the High On Life festival April 14th.
RISE UP! Talent Quests for youthful and emerging performers of any and all styles will run through Feb and March located at:
* Dorrigo Theatre: 11th Feb, 2-5pm
* Bowraville Theatre: 18th Feb, 3pm-6pm
* Urunga Riverstage: 25th Feb, 2pm-5pm
* Coffs Harbour, Cavanbah Hall: 3rd Mar, 2pm-5pm.
If you are interested in performing behind the scenes Local M.A.D.E offers a unique opportunity to gain experience with event production. Don’t let your ideas and talent go to waste – Get involved!
FREE! Talent Quest to enter. They will be held during Feb/Mar 2012. All applicants will be contacted by phone or email with details of venue and date. Act fast as there will be a limit to the number of entries. Open to Musicians, Bands, soloists, dancers and any entertaining act out there!
There will be prize money up to the value of $500 for each event, which is split into prize values 1st prize $300, 2nd prize $150, 3rd prize $50. The winners get the chance to perform at the next Local M.A.D.E. festival, to be held at the Bellingen Showground, April 14th called High On Life!
